We went to a Quakes game thanks to some good friends of ours, the Bays. They gave us free tickets and we enjoyed hanging out on the first base foul line. We had to keep our heads up for flying balls, but really enjoyed our time with them. Ethan got bored after a while, but loved watching the pitchers warm up behind us, while Austin was food hunting for anything on the cement ground. I know, Eww. We DO feed him, really.

The Bays family: Craig, Blake and Janee

Last weekend we had our annual GG weekend (stands for Grandparents/Grandkids). Out came our appetizers for the competition and they were wonderful this year, like always. Mackenzie and Megan won with their pineapple meatballs. I made a shrimp puff with rum-vanilla-coconut dipping sauce. Let me say it was YUMMY, but I guess you win with beef. The girls did marvelous and we all loved sweating it out in the kitchen. San Diego gets HUMID, baby! Here is Joey, Gram, Michelle, and new mommy Tammy!

Gram, Megan's daughter Mikayla, Austin and me in the swing on the guest house porch. Ethan was living it up with Grammy and Papa Hill. Next year, it's no kids at all!!! And yes, my hair is platinum on top. It's a fun change, but my skin doesn't like bleach. I found THAT out the hard way.

How many guys does it take to put together a ping pong table? We got Gram and Granddad a new ping pong table, which has now been returned due to hardware problems, and the guys spent a while putting it together. When you have two teachers involved, it could get complicated. All in all we had a great time, and we got some special gifts from China where Jim and Joey live now. That was a treat! Thanks, guys! Thanks to Gram and Granddad, also for all the food (not lacking there) and a place to rest our heads. We love all of you!
